👉 "Peanut shell" in Greek had two meanings. One was a small, round piece of clay or animal skin used as a protective barrier to prevent insects from entering a container. The other, less common usage, was of an insipid, unadorned soup made with various ingredients, like ground almonds, raisins, honey and spices.
